There are many advantages and a few disadvantages to solar power, but even so it may be a great alternative to oil energy. In my personal opinion, there is no better feeling than when you know you are now helping the environment instead of continuing to harm it, after all we only have one world. But lest still review the advantages and disadvantages of solar power.

One of the best things about solar power is that it is renewable, it can be reused over and over, where oil cant, and the only interference solar power may have from time to time is the effect of clouds, night, or storms. In other words, solar energy can be used over and over again and oil energy can only be used once. When solar cells are used on your house to produce energy the are silent. These don’t need big noisy machines to produce them or to make them work.

One of the best advantages to solar power is that it doesn’t pollute the air or soil in any way.On the other hand, when oil is burned, carbon dioxides, and other chemicals are released into the air and are the causes of Global Warming. After you install solar panels they don’t require much in the way of maintenance. These panels don’t move so there is nothing to wear out. Of course, solar panels cost a little more but after they are installed there is little to do.

The best advantage to solar is that in the end you save a great deal of money and do a great deal of good for the environment. There is basically one or two disadvantages to solar power, and in my opinion these are minimal, but for the sake of this article I will mention them.

Many people don’t even consider the use of solar power because they believe the panels to be too expensive, and they do cost a bit to install. Another disadvantage is that not everyone can install a solar panel, you have to learn how to install or hire a specialist. Another factor that makes solar power a disadvantage is the ability to hide the unsightly panels.You have to be somewhat creative so that the panels are not in plain sight of everyone passing by your home.
